I found a recipe on RecipeZaar for a dreamsicle jello salad awhile back and have had all of the ingredients on hand for awhile now. So I decided I'd make it for our family party at the lake tomorrow afternoon to celebrate America's Birthday!! I tasted a small dab before I put it in the refrigerator and this really does taste just like a dreamsicle - so yummy if you like dreamsicles at least! I didn't take a picture - I'll try to remember tomorrow when I get it out and I'll update then.
Dreamsicle Jello Salad
2 (3 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding
1 (3 ounce) package orange Jell-O
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1 (22 ounce) can mandarin oranges (with juice)
1 (16 ounce) container Cool Whip
Combine the pudding, Jello and boiling water and dissolve completely. Add the Mandarin Oranges (with juice). Fold in the Cool Whip. Refrigerate.

I bet Justin would love this! And it sounds super simple. Maybe I'll have to try it sometime.
Nice job on all of your local and organic food finds. You must have been very busy yesterday with everything you got done! I don't know how you do so much.
I still have to open my pressure canner and figure out how to use it :P I need to get going on some canning when we get back from vacation. I have so many jars now with what I got from the lady at church. I need to start filling them and stocking my pantry!! And my basil is really growing...time to make some pesto. I'm excited to use my large food processor for that this year...I don't have to do it in small batches.
I hope you find some good grapes. I too never can find them. That's one fruit I buy a lot and we love...but I'm always paranoid about it. I at least try to buy grapes grown in the US. It's one step up I guess.
